MUDr. Yvona Angerová, Ph.D., MBA Thesis Title: Physiotherapy after surgery for upper limb spastic dystonia in patients after brain damage Abstract This bachelor's thesis overviews surgical treatment for upper limb spastic dystonia and subsequent post-operative physiotherapy. The thesis consists of two sections, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part describes upper motor neuron syndrome and definitions of two relevant symptoms, which are spasticity and spastic dystonia. This section also contains quantitative estimation methods for spasticity and spastic paresis. This is followed by description of surgical procedures classified based on different upper limb segments. Finally, physiotherapeutic techniques recommended after these surgical procedures are described. Practical section consists of description of two case reports, in which the brain injury led to spastic dystonia that was treated by surgery of upper limb. Each case contains past medical history, entrance and exit kinesiological analyses, functional examination of upper limb using modified Frenchay arm test and physiotherapeutic sessions reports. Recognises patients' concept of breast carcinoma and recognises the patient's insight on possible causes of breast cancer. Theoretical part is dedicated to breast anatomy, division of breast cancer, possible surgical treatments of breast carcinoma, breast cancer prevention and definition of patient's concept of illness. Empirical part is based on acquired information from questionnaire survey. Recognises and compares concept of this illness before and after surgical treatment of breast carcinoma and whether the patient's concept of illness changes based on chosen surgery method. Furthermore, it focuses on finding out the patient's insights on possible causes of the creation of breast carcinoma.
Issues of nursing care for Clubfoot Diagnosed Child

The area of the care of a Clubfoot (pes equinovarus congenitus PEC Clubfoot) Diagnosed Child is the topic of this Paper. Currently, the PEC is the second most frequent congenital deformity within orthopaedics. The theoretical part of this Paper deals with a description of the PEC, its diagnostics, cure and a possible risk of relapse. A sub-chapter of the Paper introduces the Achilleus association, which is the only body in the Czech Republic bringing together parents of PEC diagnosed children. The Paper also focuses on nurses and their role(s) in the nursing care of PEC diagnosed children. The empirical part of this Paper covers a research with the following directions: - parental knowledge of PEC diagnosed children care at home; - specifications of the nursing care of PEC diagnosed children; - nurses and their educational role (if fulfilled) in the nursing care of PEC diagnosed children. The research presented in the empirical part of the Paper was based on a semi-structuralized interview and open coding technique. The interviews were conducted with parents of PEC diagnosed children and care providing nurses who also play an important educational role in this matter. The benefit of the Paper, based on collected research data, is to provide a complete overview on the problems relating to the care of PEC diagnosed children. The outcome is supposed to be also presented to appropriate expert public for further consideration. The research outcome presents that the level of parental knowledge of the PEC diagnosed children care at home is very high and that parents provide their children with a quality care. The Paper describes that specifications of the nursing care of PEC diagnosed children are mainly evident in appropriate and consistent education of parents as the homecare is usually a long-term process. Finally, the Paper also shows that nurses in their educational role in the nursing care of PEC diagnosed children do not fulfil their tasks to such an extent that is expected.

The aim is to show how important it is collaboration physiotherapist and occupational therapist for patients with this diagnosis and publish their examination procedure and proposal of therapy. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Introduction the theoretical part contains an anatomical description of the humerus and anatomy and kinesiology shoulder joint. In the section devoted to fractures of the proximal humerus describes the most common causes of fractures, subsequent possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment, particularly with potential complications. The final section discusses post-operative rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and the importance of the cooperation of a multidisciplinary team. Efficacy of education regarding child patients with congenital deformations of pectoral wall in University Hospital Motol

The aim of this paper was, at first, to evaluate the effectiveness of education of child patients with inborn deformation of pectoral wall in the University Hospital Motol in the MIRPE (Minimally Invasive Pectus Excavatum) operation correcting the inborn deformation of pectoral wall by using of a metal bar and for its surgery extraction after three years. At second, to map the effectiveness of education of child patients done by the hospital personnel during their hospitalization in the University Hospital Motol. This paper also presents its own opinions of both groups of respondents on the current system of education done in the clinical practice. According to the available sources there was not in the Czech Republic any similar study about this problem realized up to now. There were 116 respondents involved in the research who went through the MIRPE surgery and the extraction of their bar in the University Hospital Motol. The data that were received by the method of own constructive form was further statistically processed. Possibilities of conservative and surgical approaches for Dupuyter's contracture

Dupuytren' s contracture is a disease that is characterized by its slowly developing of flecture contractures of the fingers and is conditioned by pathological changes of the palmar aponeurosis. The bachelor's thesis "Possibilities of conservative and surgical approaches for Dupuytren's contracture" deals with the overall issue of Dupuytren's contracture. The thesis includes knowledge about anatomy of palmodigital aponeurosis, clinical picture, etiology, epidemiology, diagnostics, conservative and surgical treatment a nd points to a crucial influence of physiotherapy as an integral part of the treatment. A significant part of the thesis is focused on physiotherapeutic methods which are most frequently used for subsequent treatment of the disease. In the conclusion of the thesis, there is a brief description of physical therapy and occupational therapy. The thesis is supplemented with two case reports of patients with Dupuytren's contracture, treated with 2 different forms of treatment. Comparison of Costs for Treatment of Proximal Femoral Fractures

Due to the demographic development osteopoorosis is an increasing serious medical and economical problem today in developed industrial countries including Czech republic. Fractures of the proximal femur in the elderly are one of the manifestations of the illness. Within the context of the pharmacological prevention we must consider carefully its contribution in comparison with costs of the fracture treatment in the hospital. This graduation theses deals with evaluation of expenses on the surgical treatment of these fractures and expenses on the pharmacological prevention using Fosamax. This comparison is made in economic situation in Czech republic in the end of the first decade of 21. century
